On Thursday evening of convention week the NSS National Awards Salon program will feature the best of the various salon entries and includes the best-of-show for each category. The salons included in the presentation are the cartographic salon, photo print salon, graphic arts salon, cave ballad salon, symbolic emblems salon, t-shirt salon, and the video salon. Also featured is the photo salon that will display award winning slide images by the society's best photographers.
Traditionally, this is one of the most popular events at NSS Conventions.
If you enjoy wildlife viewing or photography, the Tule Lake Refuge is sure to provide hours of enjoyment. From Weed, California, the refuge is on the way to Lava Beds National Monument.
